Snerpa Power receives funding from Orkusjóður, the National Energy Fund.

Eyrún Linnet
CTO & Co-founder

We just received the great news that our application to the National Energy Fund was approved and granted a total of 15.4 million ISK for the development of Snerpa Power´s software platform. The project is one out of 9 projects in the category of Energy Efficiency to be funded by the National Energy Fund this year.

This spring, Orkusjóður advertised for grants according to the government's priorities related to the energy transition. This year, five focus categories were announced; i) improved energy efficiency, ii) reduction of oil consumption in industry, iii) electricity and biofuels and methane, iv) charging stations for transport, and v) energy exchange in sea-related activities.

The application deadline expired on May 7, and the evaluation process ended two months later. Applications for 199 projects and ISK 3927.6 million were received, while 871.7 million were finally allocated to 137 projects.

Grateful to see that innovation gets grants among the more established equipment buyers.
